TEA PLANTATION.

Tea is our main exporting crop. It grows well in up   country and wet climate is
suitable for tea.
Tea plants are used for many industries. However its out put is tea powder. Tea can be planted in two ways.
With seeds and with branches’ in a tea estate tender leaves are plucked by servants once in six days.
Collected tender tea leaves are sent to a tea leaves are sent to a tea factory and
there leaves ground dried and converted into tea power which is a favorite drink of many countries.

RANDOLA TEA FACTORY..

  This tea factory is situated about 4 kilometers   far from Balangoda .town.  It is about one kilo metere from Randola junction. This is called Randola tea factory. It belongs to the government. Tea grinding, drying and pakings are done in this factory. Not only from near by villages but also they transport tea leaves from neighboring villages like Uwella, Rassagala and Depalamulla.So this factory gives a good service to the people of this area. However about 10,000 killo grams of amount of green leaves can be obtained to the factory daily. The name of the present managing director of factory mr.Silva.There is an Indus trious employee staff in this factory. Some days many vehicles come to this factory from remote villages for buying tea factory.
